Matthew Adkins, Founder, MCSE

Matthew Adkins was born with a passion for helping people. When he was seven years old he met the Apple computer at the public library and his destiny was revealed. Since then he has always worked in technology, whether it was his college computer lab or a $3 billion healthcare company. He founded Vanguard Technologies in 2003.

Matthew has a degree in Network Systems Administration and holds numerous technical certifications including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (Security) and is a member of the FBI’s InfraGard. He is also a member of industry trade association ASCII's Member Advisory and Vendor Advisory Committees. He is passionate about customer service, courtesy and the need for professionalism in IT. He believes that technologists should demonstrate the same level of commitment and professionalism as lawyers and accountants and he insists that every member of the Vanguard team adhere to those principles

In his time away from the office, Matthew enjoys reading science fiction and watching the Toledo Mud Hens. He is an Eagle Scout, Rotarian, and Life Member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity. He volunteers in Live Video Production and Financial Peace University at CedarCreek Church and is a member of the Toledo Rotary Community Services Committee and Audio-Visual Unit.
